Mikmar Legacy Bit – Plain & Dots

With an extremely comfortable, slightly curved mouthpiece, the design of Mikmar Legacy Bit delivers a consistent, steady signal that is easy for the horse and rider to understand. This Mikmar bit helps to develop a good, quiet, responsive mouth.

The mouthpiece is made from Sweet Iron, a metal well known for it’s sweet taste and ability to encourage salivation, which helps the horse to loosen and soften in the jaw.The mouthpiece also features a flatter-shaped port that provides ample room for the tongue and the bars of the Legacy Bit are rounded to the corners of the shank, so there is no pinching. 2.5″ Tear Drop style short-shanks swivel allowing for a nice lateral feel, independent shoulder lift and good vertical flexion. Their swept back angle gives the bit a less-abrupt action when pressure is applied.

Excellent for horses transitioning to a shank style bit or those already well established in a leverage bit, the Mikmar Legacy Bit is suitable for a wide variety of Western disciplines, great for cowboys, competitors, trail riders, pros and amateurs alike.

The Legacy Bit is offered in 3 styles: plain shiny Stainless Steel Shanks with lightly-contrasting Diamond Shaped Trim, and two versions of decorative dots (one with a Stainless Steel shank and one with an Antique Bronze shank).
